Per NBC’s poll, Trump leads Biden among Latino voters and is tied in the mainstream poll at 42 percent among voters ages 18 to 34. Trump is also leading Biden by nearly 20 points with Independent voters, according to their data.
Rep. Gaetz, who is a strong Trump ally, wrote on X, “We are going to win: Independents[.] Hispanics[.] Black men[.] It’s going to be glorious.”
While Biden holds an overall edge with Black voters in mainstream polls, the political winds have shifted over the past few months.
According to a November 2023 article from The New York Times, 22 percent of Black voters in six battleground swing states said they would vote for President Donald Trump in the general election.
