Donald Trump delivered remarks in Des Moines, Iowa, in a conversation with Iowa State Attorney General Brenna Bird, broadcasting a special telerally amidst frigid weather conditions in the Hawkeye State.
The president flew into Des Moines late Saturday night despite the icy conditions, committed as ever to making his way to Iowa with just two days to go until the caucuses on Monday.
The room was packed with excited Trump supporters who warmly welcomed the president and applauded his numerous remarks.
In terms of inflation, Trump spoke to the failure of current Bidenomics, joking that former President Jimmy Cart was “literally brilliant” compared to the leadership of Joe Biden.
“First of all, I think he’s been a disaster as a president – he’s the worst president in the history of our country,” he said.
Trump explained that no matter how much living wages and salaries are raised in this country, it will never keep up with inflation. “No matter what you make…it’s peanuts when you look at all of these things we’re talking about,” he said. “…You can’t make up for that.”
When AG Bird asked the room who was better off, financially, under President Trump, the entire room cheered.
“Americans, Iowans – we’re ALL better off with Trump,” Bird concluded.
