On Friday night in New Hampshire, Sen. Tim Scott (R) of South Carolina presented a brilliant support of President Donald J. Trump, saying that the country needed a president who would address the problems of the American people.
“We need a president who will close our southern border TODAY,” Sen. Scott said. “…We need DONALD TRUMP.”
He continued, “We need a president who will unite our country. We need DONALD TRUMP. We need a president who will protect your Social Security and my MAMA’S Social Security. We need Donald Trump. We need a president today who will stop crime and recklessness in the streets. We need a president who will restore LAW AND ORDER. We need DONALD TRUMP.”
President Trump was standing directly behind Scott, grinning as Scott enthusiastically endorsed the 2024 MAGA campaign, to the cheers of the audience.
Scott continued, “We need a president who will LOWER our taxes and not RAISE our taxes. We need a president like DONALD TRUMP. We need a president who understands that the American people are sick and tired of being SICK AND TIRED. We need DONALD TRUMP.”
Sen. Scott joked that he came to the “very warm state of New Hampshire” just to “endorse the next President of these United States, President Donald J. Trump!”
On Friday, The New York Times foreshadowed Scott’s endorsement, noting that the senator had dropped out of the GOP presidential primary on Nov. 12, 2023.
