Make America Great Again Incorporated PAC, also known as MAGA Inc., released a new blistering ad this week that raises the question of whether Biden’s continuous misrepresentations about the state of the economy are due to his diminishing cognitive capabilities or intentional lying.
The ad begins with a quote from Fox News that says, “Americans are struggling in Biden’s economy,” with the narrator adding, “But Biden’s ignoring our problems.”
The video switches to a clip of Biden claiming, “Our economy is strong as hell.” The narrator points out that “he keeps denying reality” and asks, “Is it dishonesty or dementia?”

The ad highlights various quotes from media outlets about the increased cost of utility bills, electricity, and food. The narrator then states, “Biden’s weak, he’s failed, and he’s dishonest.”
The video concludes with clips of President Trump interacting with everyday American workers and servicemembers as the narrator states, “We had more in our pockets when Trump was president.”
The advertisement dropped just before April’s Consumer Price Index was released, which showed inflation at 3.4 percent. Twice in the last week, Biden claimed that inflation was at 9 percent when he first took office despite that “it was actually at 1.4% and didn’t pass 9% until 17 months into his term,” according to the New York Post.

Fact-checkers corrected Biden’s false claim each time, but most mainstream media outlets attributed the low inflation rates in 2020 to the pandemic. However, inflation during Trump’s presidency peaked at 2.3 percent, according to December end-of-year data shared by Investopedia from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Outside of high inflation, Americans are dealing with sky-high credit card interest rates, with the average rate at 27.64 percent, according to the New York Post.
That figure is “nearly double the 14.6 percent average when Biden took office,” according to the outlet. Mortgage rates have also increased by 4.5 percent.
