WITH THE GOP PRIMARY IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR, TRUMP IS MORE POPULAR THAN EVER

Trump has swept on to victory in the Republican presidential primary election, clearing the path for a general election battle between himself and Joe Biden – and the state of the race looks great for the 45th president.

In a new survey from Rasmussen Reports, they found that, nationwide, 49 percent of U.S. voters would vote for Trump in the general election, giving him an admirable eight-point lead over Joe Biden (41 percent).

Other Democratic candidates have been mentioned as possible replacements for Biden, as concerns about his physical capacity to serve in the White House and his apparent cognitive impairment remain.

Rasmussen looked at two of the most high-profile alternative names to Biden: former First Lady Michelle Obama and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

If Trump and Obama were to face off in a hypothetical general election, Trump would win by a margin of seven points, based on Rasmussen’s statistics. Additionally, Trump led Newsom by a significant margin of 17 points, suggesting that there is a widespread dislike for the California governor that well outweighs the antipathy for Obama and Biden.

In the crucial battleground states leading up to November’s general election, Trump maintains a comfortable lead. Biden is trailing in states including Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, according to averages from FiveThirtyEight.

On Tuesday evening, President Trump clinched GOP primary election wins in Georgia, Mississippi, and Washington, catapulting him past the 1,215 delegate count needed to win the party’s nomination.

He wrote on Truth Social, “It is my great honor to be representing the Republican Party as its Presidential Nominee. Our Party is UNITED and STRONG, and fully understands that we are running against the Worst, Most Incompetent, Corrupt, and Destructive President in the History of the United States.”

With the primary wrapped up tight, Trump has now pivoted into the general election, and based on the most recent polls, his odds of reclaiming the White House are stronger than ever.
