While Carlson was initially announced as having a speech prepared for the occasion, the Washington Examiner noted that it was “not certain” if the well-known primetime TV presenter would openly discuss departing Fox News.

As Carlson’s resignation was made public, the value of Fox News’ stock decreased by about  $1 billion. This week, Megyn Kelly revealed on her program that Fox had similarly lost “two-thirds” of their audience as a result of firing Tucker Carlson. She said, “I mean, that’s fantastic.”
