Trump’s Big Move: Skips Debate, Does Interview With Carlson.
Donald Trump has been teasing his decision regarding whether he will attend the GOP presidential primary debates ahead of the 2024 election, but a new report from The New York Times has claimed to clear the air on the situation, citing “multiple people briefed on the matter.”
According to the NYT, the president will reportedly pass on attending the first GOP primary debate next week in Milwaukee and instead sit down for an online interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who has been blowing up the internet lately with his new independent show on X, “Tucker on Twitter.”

Carlson previously spoke with Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and this past week sat down for an extensive chat with GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
There have been persistent rumors for a while that Trump may attend another event and therefore overshadow the GOP primary discussion. The president’s potential interview with Tucker Carlson could be about to go viral online if the NYT report turns out to be accurate.
