Trump Wins Big in Civil Fraud Trial, Judge Allows Four Witnesses AG James Tried to Block

A judge in Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial has allowed the former president to call four witnesses that Attorney General Letitia James wanted to block. The witnesses are expected to testify about the value of Trump’s assets, which is a key issue in the case.

James is suing Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, for allegedly inflating the value of Trump’s assets in order to obtain loans and insurance coverage.

James is seeking $250 million in fines and restitution, as well as a ban on Trump and his children from doing business in New York.

Trump’s attorneys say James’s complaint is politically motivated and the Trump Organization’s financial records are truthful. They also claim that the witnesses they want will prove Trump’s asset values.

The judge’s decision to let Trump call witnesses hurts James. The witnesses’ evidence may not be enough to sway the jury to support Trump, but it may make it harder for James to win.

The court letting Trump call witnesses is a major milestone. Witnesses might help Trump defend himself against James’s claims. The jury will determine whether to trust the witnesses’ testimonies.

The witnesses’ persuasiveness might help Trump, win the lawsuit. If witnesses prove unreliable, Trump’s case may suffer.

The judge’s decision also highlights the challenges that James faces in her case against Trump. She is suing a former president who has a large and loyal following. She is also up against a team of experienced lawyers who are determined to defend Trump.

Despite the challenges, James is determined to win her case. She has said that she believes Trump and his company committed fraud, and she is seeking to hold them accountable.

  2. It’s obvious thus is politically driven. One glaring point is the IRS never received a complaint from anyone especially the banks. The banks themselves would have done their due diligence and approved loans accordingly based on Trump’s assets gross worth and his net worth
