TRUMP SCORES BIG SUPREME COURT WIN AMID SWIRLING LEGAL BATTLES

Trump Wins Supreme Court in Legal Storm. The U.S. The Supreme Court denied John Anthony Castro’s request to ban Trump from standing for reelection in 2024 on Monday, numerous sites reported.

Castro, a Texas tax consultant running for president, said in court that Trump’s involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021 “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol barred him from office under the Fourteenth Amendment, according to Reuters.

After SCOTUS rejected the case, a lower court judgment that Castro lacked standing to challenge Trump seems to have ended Castro’s legal battle.

The Monday Supreme Court decision is strikingly similar to a Florida court verdict weeks earlier, when tax attorney Lawrence Caplan sued President Trump, arguing that the “insurrection” of Jan. 6, 2021, banned him from office under the U.S. Constitution.

RSBN reported that an Obama-appointed Florida court found Caplan lacked standing to challenge Trump.

Reuters reported that a federal court rejected Castro’s complaint last summer for failing to show “legal injury.”

  1. If George Castro’s case lacks standing? The case against Trump in Colorado lacks standing as well. So. That means that Trump can’t be excluded from being the ballot. SMH.
