TRUMP SAYS IT’S POSSIBLE TO HAVE A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH CHINA IF IT’S BASED ON ‘MUTUAL RESPECT’
In a new Truth Social post, Trump called for common sense in dealing with China, noting that a “great relationship” with the superpower was possible if it was based on “mutual respect.”
“There is so much talk about China’s threats,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Question: Who was the first person, in 2015, and before, to put China in the spotlight, so many refused to accept what was said so strongly and brilliantly?

Why, I wonder, it must be Donald J. Trump! But, all this being said, we can have a great relationship with China, but it has to be one of mutual respect. They have zero respect for the US right now, two years ago it was at a record level!
President Trump’s comments came after the now-infamous Chinese spy balloon was allowed to fly over the United States last week, carving an airspace from Alaska to the East Coast, where it was shot down by the US military off the coast of South Carolina.
“The Chinese balloon situation is a disgrace, just like the Afghanistan horror show, and the totally incompetent Biden administration around everything else,” Trump wrote over the weekend.

Recently addressed the domestic threat of Chinese espionage on US soil
The president released a video, denying their influence in every aspect of American life. He said, “It is rarely mentioned that thousands of Chinese spies are working in the United States in business, finance, academia, technology, media and perhaps, even government, sadly.”
If Trump is re-elected president in 2024, he has promised to take swift action to end the threat of Chinese espionage in America, vowing to end the theft of American secrets. “Instead of hunting Republicans, a reformed FBI and Justice Department will hunt Chinese spies,” Trump said.
