Trump criticized the judge chosen to preside over the New York case looking into the long-running claims concerning payments of “hush money” to Stormy Daniels, bringing attention to the persecution of his former CFO, Allen Weisselberg.
“The Judge ‘assigned’ to my Witch Hunt Case, a ‘Case’ that has NEVER BEEN CHARGED BEFORE, HATES ME,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday.
“His name is Juan Manuel Marchan, was hand-picked by Bragg & the Prosecutors, & is the same person who ‘railroaded’ my 75-year-old former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, to take a ‘plea’ deal (Plead GUILTY, even if you are not, 90 DAYS, fight us in Court, 10 years (life!) in jail. He strong-armed Allen, which a judge is not allowed to do, & treated my companies, which didn’t ‘plead,’ VICIOUSLY. APPEALING!” The statement added.
The Trump Organization’s trial earlier this year was presided over by Judge Merchan, according to The New York Times. Fox News reports that Allen Weisselberg, the former CFO of Trump’s business, received a five-month prison term for tax offenses in that case after over 50 years of service to the Trump family.
According to RSBN, President Trump is reportedly planning to appear in court in New York next week, even though it is unclear what accusations would be brought against him.

Trump blasted the Democrats for their fixation with criticizing him in a furious statement this week in response to the news of the impending indictment.
“The Democrats have lied, cheated, and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable – indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference. Never before in our Nation’s history has this been done,” he said.
“The Democrats have cheated countless times over the decades, including spying on my campaign, but weaponizing our justice system to punish a political opponent, who just so happens to be a President of the United States and by far the leading Republican candidate for President, has never happened before.
