Trump lawyers visit Justice Department
On Monday, attorneys representing Donald Trump in the investigation into his handling of extremely sensitive national security materials were seen visiting the Justice Department. Special counsel Jack Smith looks to be getting close to deciding whether to charge anyone in the case.
James Trusty and Lindsey Halligan were among the lawyers seen by CBS entering the DOJ’s headquarters late on Monday morning.

Their visit’s purpose and the officials they were scheduled to meet with were both unclear at first.
A spokesman for Smith was contacted by the Justice Department with inquiries on the subject, but the guy chose not to respond.

The DOJ had subpoenaed Trump’s office to recover additional classified material, but after those negotiations fell through. Smith is looking into if Trump tried to thwart the Justice Department’s efforts to locate and reclaim all of the secret records at his house in addition to asking Trump why he kept the records.
I really hope President Trump can thoroughly drain the swamp and send Garland and company packing.
