According to a recent Rasmussen Reports poll, President Donald Trump’s advantage over the Republican presidential candidates is growing by leaps and bounds.
They found that Trump has a 28-point advantage over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who came in second place, among GOP voters for the 2024 Republican Party presidential candidacy (R).

In a head-to-head comparison, 58 percent of GOP voters supported Trump, while 30 percent preferred DeSantis. According to a National Pulse analysis, Trump has gained 13 points in their survey since February 2023, while DeSantis has lost 2 points.

Also, the majority of Republicans think that President Trump is best suited to defeat Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential race.
As previously reported by RSBN, when GOP voters were asked who had the best chance of defeating Biden, Trump led a new Morning Consult study by an amazing 30 points.
Trump emerged as the victor in that survey, netting 55 percent of support against DeSantis’s 25 percent.

Rasmussen’s polling results show that since declaring his run for president in late May, DeSantis has lost some support. For instance, according to Florida Politics’ Sunshine State Battleground Survey, Trump is ahead of the governor in his home state by 20 points.
According to their research, in a 2024 Republican primary poll, 53 percent of Florida GOP voters supported Trump, while 33 percent supported the governor.
