A young boy in a Philadelphia sandwich shop was moved to tears on Saturday during a special moment with President Trump.

The boy, wearing a blond wig and the same color suit and tie as Trump, was immediately noticed by the 45th president. Trump told the workers to “make sure he gets a special sandwich for himself” before pulling a wad of cash out of his pocket.

The tears began flowing as President Trump showed the boy a $20 dollar bill and said, “We’re gonna add some value.” He laid the bill on the counter and signed it before pulling the boy in for a photograph.

Trump turned to the counter to repocket his remaining cash and exclaimed, “I like that kid. So, if your parents don’t want you, I’ll take you.” Trump encouraged the crowd to “have a good time” and thanked the boy while shaking his hand. “What a guy he is,” Trump remarked.

Trump received an enthusiastic and warm welcome from patrons at the shop ahead of his rally at Temple University.

Multiple media outlets reported that President Trump left a $500 tip for the sandwich shop workers with a note on the receipt that said, “Vote Trump. No tax on tip.”

In recent weeks, Trump has drilled down on his plan to stop taxing tips for service workers, most notably during his June 9 rally in Las Vegas.

Trump also discussed his plan during a June 15 Michigan roundtable event at a black church. He told one restaurant owner, “The tax immediately is coming off” when he returns to the White House.
