NEWS: WILL TRUMP STICK TO TRUTH SOCIAL FOR THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL RACE?
Although President Trump’s accounts on Big Tech platforms such as Twitter and Facebook have been restored, it appears that he will remain on Truth Social for the foreseeable future as the 2024 presidential election season approaches.
Devin Nunes, CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group, addressed the major topic in an exclusive interview with RSBN’s Grace Saldana on Thursday: would Trump return to other social media sites now that his accounts have been reinstated?

“… He’ll continue to be on Truth Socially, he’s not posting to any other platforms yet,” Nunes said.
While Trump is on Truth Social, he noted that the Trump campaign is extremely interested in providing “some stuff” on Facebook and Instagram, stressing that it was necessary to reach the audience there, thus it was “somewhere that the campaign has to be.”
He also stated that all political campaigns must be mindful of the possibility of shadow-banning or censorship of campaign accounts on Big Tech platforms. “That’s what all campaigns will have to keep an eye out for,” he added.

Truth Social first appeared on the Apple App Store in February 2022. Since then, the site has grown at an exponential rate, reaching out to Android users, regular desktop users, and the Google Play Store.
Nunes also stated that Truth Social will be launching a new “Groups” function on their platform very soon, as previously reported by RSBN. This would allow users to establish groups and converse with similar-minded people, just like Facebook groups do currently. Truth Social, on the other hand, is a free-expression network, unlike Facebook.

Nunes also stated that TMTG was considering adding a video-on-demand capability to the site. “We’re news and information, so having news and information on our platform is crucial,” he continued.
