“It was a nasty break, but Theo was gently and professionally cared for by the qualified EMT, physicians, nurses, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital personnel. Theo’s visit concluded with two ice pops, prompting him to exclaim, “This is the best day ever!” ‘This is why I’m in pediatrics,’ the nurse said. ‘No adult in the emergency department has ever stated that when handed an ice pop,’ she continued.

“I shall mourn her forever,” Ivanka stated, “and her memory will remain on in our hearts forever.”

“Learning to celebrate differently is a challenge. I am trying to be kind, patient, and compassionate with myself and honor and make space for all of the emotions I am experiencing. New memories are being made, my children’s laughter is abundant, and my 96-year-old grandma’s presence at our table brings us all joy, yet the void is undeniable. The loss of a parent is one of life’s very painful passages for which one is never fully prepared. It hits at the very core of your being. And it takes a good amount of time to emerge from how it dislocates you,” her Instagram post continued.

According to a representative for the New York City Police Department, officers went to a 911 call and discovered the 73-year-old unconscious.

“On Thursday, July 14, 2022, at around 1240 hours, police responded to a 911 report of an assisted individual at 10 East 64 Street, inside the boundaries of the 19 Precinct. Officers arrived to find a 73-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive. The subject was declared dead at the site by EMS, according to the spokesperson.

Ivanka also paid a heartfelt homage to her mother during the Christmas season.

“This is my first holiday season since my mum died. “It’s true: grieving around the holidays may be more difficult than at any other time of year,” she said.
