GOP Sounding Alarm Over What Took Place Hours Before Trump Was Indicted
Republicans started raising concerns about a situation on Friday, just hours before President Joe Biden’s Justice Department alerted his main 2024 opponent that he would be charged with handling secret documents.
The U.S. Department of Justice announced late on Thursday that Trump has been indicted on charges related to his handling of sensitive information that were discovered at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida last August.
‘The former president faces at least seven charges, sources tell ABC News, including conspiracy to obstruct justice, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation, a scheme to conceal, and false statements and representations,’ according to the news organization.

The maximum sentences for each crime, according to their legislation, “range from five to twenty years,” though any punishment should Trump be found guilty would probably be much less severe.
According to ABC, “any eventual sentence should Trump be convicted would likely be much lower.”
Nevertheless, a few Republicans questioned the timing of the indictment. A document from the FBI that had been sought by a congressional subpoena for weeks and purported to provide proof of a bribery plan involving the then-vice president Joe Biden was ultimately seen by a number of House Republicans earlier in the day.

According to sources quoted by Fox News, “Biden was allegedly paid $5 million by an executive of the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings, where his son Hunter Biden sat on the board, a confidential human source told the FBI during a June 2020 interview.”
According to Fox News Digital, “the sources briefed us on the contents of the FBI-generated FD-1023 form alleging a criminal bribery scheme between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national that involved influence over U.S. policy decisions,”

The FD-1023 document, dated June 30, 2020, includes information from an FBI interview with a private source that was rated “highly credible.” The insider described multiple meetings and discussions had over several years, starting in 2015, with a top executive from Burisma. Although the document was not directly examined by Fox News Digital, the station said that numerous trustworthy sources who are familiar with its specifics have described its contents.

The secret human source claimed that the Burisma executive discussed Hunter Biden’s membership on the board in accordance with the information on the form. Given Hunter Biden’s membership on the board, the source questioned the need for the Burisma executive to see a lawyer in order to obtain access to American oil.
“The SAME DAY @GOPoversight is shown a document by the FBI showing evidence that Biden and his son were each paid $5 million dollars by a foreign national the DOJ indicts Trump. Coincidental? I think not,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) tweeted.
Donald Trump Jr. expressed a like opinion.
“Joe Biden’s crooked DOJ decided to indict Trump over fabricated charges on the same day that a story about a whistleblower who claimed Joe Biden accepted a $5 million bribe from Burisma in Ukraine surfaced. Are you sure that’s a coincidence? Tweets from Trump Jr.
One of the committee members who reviewed the document was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), and she wasn’t subtle in her assessment of what should come next.

This document is subject to impeachment. Impeachment of President Biden is necessary. Second, he needs to face legal action. This is incredible. Pay-to-play is the method used. He accepted a bribe for millions of dollars from a foreign national in a foreign nation, according to Greene, who spoke to the Daily Caller. He should be charged with a crime for this, and in my opinion, he should go to jail.
