Even President Trump Can’t Save Lindsay Graham

Although Lindsey Graham has been a steadfast supporter of former President Donald Trump, Graham may not be able to avoid political difficulty despite Trump’s backing.

In South Carolina, Graham is up for re-election, and many have criticized him for his strong links to Trump. Graham has drawn criticism in especially for his support in the effort to re-run the 2020 presidential election.

According to a recent poll, Graham is 10 points behind Jaime Harrison, his Democratic opponent. Trump and the Republican Party would suffer a severe defeat if Graham loses his race for re-election.

Graham has Trump’s support, but it’s not certain if that will be enough to save him from losing. Trump is no longer the kingmaker he once was because of a recent decrease in his popularity.
