Donald Trump Wins Again As YouTube Unbans His Channel
Donald Trump has won another battle against Big Tech. His YouTube account has been restored after he was just unbanned from Facebook and Twitter.
“Starting today, the Donald J. Trump channel is no longer restricted and can upload new content,” an official YouTube account tweeted. “We carefully evaluated the continued risk of real-world violence, while balancing the chance for voters to hear equally from major national candidates in the run-up to an election.”
YouTube released a statement to Twitter Friday, explaining the decision, and clarifying that President Trump will be held to the current platform rules.
“This channel will continue to be subject to our policies, just like any other channel on YouTube,” the account tweeted.
According to NPR, in 2021, President Trump filed lawsuits against YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook on the grounds that they were unjustly suppressing him. As the 2024 election approaches, his presidential campaign may require unrestricted access to voters.

Trump has acquired a following on his Rumble channel after getting kicked off YouTube, and it is unknown whether he expects to return to YouTube’s social media video source, given that he has not returned to Twitter after regaining full access to that account.
