Donald Trump: “Truth Social Has Become The Hottest Thing Going”
A little more than a year after Truth Social’s first release on the Apple App Store, President Trump celebrated the social media network’s success with a message on the site that he launched to promote free expression.
“‘TRUTH’ SOCIAL HAS BECOME THE HOTTEST THING GOING,” he wrote. “I SAY IT LIKE IT IS!”
President Trump founded Truth Social as an alternative to Big Tech censorship on platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. The app was initially exclusively accessible to iOS users in February 2022.

From then, the app grew in popularity, eventually reaching all phone users by the fall of 2022. Traditional desktop users can also access the site.
At its original release, the software shot to the top of the Apple App Store. As stated by RSBN, their objective at that time was to be “essentially completely operational” by the end of March 2022.
Truth Social topped the Google Play Store rankings in October 2022, with record downloads. According to RSBN, Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes told Just the News that the Google Play launch was “a huge milestone in our campaign to restore free expression online.”
Since its inception, Truth has experienced unprecedented amounts of traffic and participation. After Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech in January, the site saw a surge in new users as President Trump gave real-time comments to Citizens via the platform.

“Thank you to our fantastic users for helping Truth Social achieve RECORD traffic levels during last night’s State of the Union speech,” the official Truth Social account stated afterward. That was a fantastic night for free expression — and there will be many more.”
Truth Social is unique in that it provides a social media experience free of restriction and misinformation. It is also the only social media platform that has direct access to President Donald Trump.

Notwithstanding the president’s recent reinstatement on Big Tech platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, he has opted to continue using Truth Social to reach People with his words and videos.
