DONALD TRUMP TALKS TUCKER CARLSON: ‘IT’S A SHAME WHAT HAPPENED
Donald Trump talked about former Fox News host Tucker Carlson on “Triggered with Donald Trump Jr.,” telling his eldest son that it was a “shame” that Carlson was out at the network.
“I think it’s a shame what happened to Tucker,” he said. “He had the number one show. He was doing great. He was very interesting. And he was out there in the sense that he was telling the truth.”
He added that “losing Tucker” was going to have “a very big impact and a very negative impact on Fox.”
To the surprise of his devoted audience, Tucker Carlson and Fox News announced their separation on Monday. It’s interesting to note that Megyn Kelly, a current contributor, and former Fox News personality, said on Friday that Carlson hadn’t yet been fired from the network.
Kelly stated, “I want to, I think, break some news for you. Tucker Carlson hasn’t actually been fired. He’s still an employee of Fox News channel. What happened was, Suzanne Scott called him, she’s the CEO, on Monday morning, and said he was not going to be allowed to do anymore shows and that he had been kicked out of his company email. And now they’re going to have to negotiate an exit…completely catching Tucker off guard. But Tucker’s not fired. That’s my information.”
Two days after Fox supposedly fired Carlson, he published a monologue on Twitter in which he emphasized the value of expressing the truth and denounced America as a “one-party state.”
“When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful,” he said. “At the same time, the liars that have been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker….true things prevail. Where can you still find Americans saying true things? There aren’t many places left, but there are some. As long as you can hear the words, there is hope. See you soon.”
It is unclear what Tucker Carlson’s next move will be.
