DONALD TRUMP HERALDS INCREDIBLE ‘232-22’ MIDTERM ENDORSEMENT SUCCESS RECORD
“I was 232-22 in the midterms, and still the DEMS, RINOS and FAKE NEWS have to hear how bad I did (also, 98.6% in Republican nomination approval!),” Donald Trump said on Tuesday while defending his impressive endorsement success record in the 2022 midterm elections.”
He also said that without his endorsement of Republican candidates, “the numbers would have been a disaster.”
“Same for the corrupt elections of 2018 and 2020…” he continued.
During President Trump’s 2024 campaign announcement speech in mid-November, the 45th president also noted that the midterm elections were a great success despite negative media coverage of the legacy. “I want to point out that in the interim, my endorsement success rate was 232 wins and only 22 losses — you don’t hear that from the media,” he said.
In his statement on Tuesday, Trump noted that Republican candidates enjoyed sweeping victories in 2020, but he was the victim of a corrupt presidential election. “This is because the presidential election was rigged and stolen,” he said.
Trump’s support played a big factor in Republicans’ success this year in taking back majority control of the House of Representatives. According to RSBN, the GOP regained its majority in the midterms when California congressman-elect Kevin Keeley won his race.
Despite the negative press, Trump still leads the polls heading into the 2024 political contest. According to a recent Zogby poll, the president has a strong 46.8 percent lead over potential Republican challengers in the 2024 Republican primary matchup. In contrast, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., managed to net a solid runner-up finish with 27.9 percent support.
