DESANTIS ADDRESSES POSSIBLE TRUMP INDICTMENT, DECLARES FLORIDA WILL NOT BE ‘INVOLVED’ IN ‘POLITICAL SPECTACLE’
During a news conference on Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis addressed President Donald J. Trump’s apparent impending arrest at the request of the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
“… I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he stated, “but I do know this, though. The Manhattan district attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor. And so, he, like other Soros-funded prosecutors, weaponizes their office to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety.”
DeSantis made the comment in response to a query from the press about whether he would play any part in Trump’s prospective extradition to New York if charges were filed against him.

President Trump resides at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
“He [Alvin Bragg] has lowered over half of the crimes to misdemeanors,” the governor added. He says he doesn’t want to go to jail for the great, vast majority of offenses, and what we’ve seen in Manhattan is that the crime rate has increased, and residents have gotten less safe.”
DeSantis’ remarks come after a weekend of anxious speculation around Trump’s assertion that he would almost certainly be arrested this week. As previously reported by RSBN, Trump lashed out at the “EVIL & SINISTER Individuals” who were behind the legal case against him, encouraging Americans on Truth Social to “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!”
According to RSBN, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is considering charging Trump for his alleged participation in paying pornographic actress Stormy Daniels “hush money” in 2016.

“They are MANY years beyond the Statute of Limitations which, in this instance, is TWO YEARS,” Trump stated on Monday morning. “More importantly, THERE WAS NO CRIME!!!”
Gov. DeSantis avoided addressing the prospective accusations, and instead focused on the district attorney’s office. He went on,“Look, I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I can’t speak to that. But what I can speak to is that if you have a prosecutor, who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction, and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments, you know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office.”
He also called the Soros-funded district attorneys “a menace to society” and added that he was the “only governor in the country who actually removed one from office during my term here.”
Gov. DeSantis concluded, “…We are not involved in this, [we] won’t be involved in this. I have no interest in getting involved in some type of manufactured circus by some Soros DA. He’s trying to do a political spectacle, he’s trying to virtue signal to his base…I’ve got to spend my time on issues that actually matter to people. I can’t spend my time worrying about things of that nature. So, we’re not going to be involved in it in any way. I’m fighting for Floridians and I’m fighting back against Biden. That’s what I do every single day.”
