Cheney’s College Commencement Speech Raises New Speculation About 2024

During a commencement address at her alma mater over the weekend, former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney added to rumors about a potential 2024 presidential bid.


Following the 2020 election, according to the Associated Press, Cheney “implored fresh college grads to not compromise when it comes to the truth, excoriating her House Republican colleagues for not doing enough to challenge former President Donald Trump.”

The AP said that the Wyoming Republican “continued her strong attacks of Trump in a commencement speech at Colorado College, but kept short of commenting about his 2024 reelection campaign or her own political future.”
